Educational deadline tool · Reviewed August 26, 2026

Put the COBRA and Marketplace clocks on one page.

The two enrollment periods are related but are not necessarily measured from the same date. Enter the dates from your records and use the results as an organizing aid—not as a legal eligibility determination.

Dates from your documents

What the tool estimates

COBRA: at least 60 days from the later of the coverage-loss date or the date the election notice was provided.

Marketplace: the loss-of-coverage SEP is generally available for 60 days before and 60 days after the coverage loss.

Your notice and official determinations control. Do not rely on this tool to delay action. Weekends, plan procedures, proof requirements, payment deadlines, other qualifying events and individual facts can matter. Confirm directly with the plan administrator and Marketplace.

Before ending any coverage

Need help connecting the dates to the coverage decision?

A 15-minute conversation can help you organize the COBRA notice, Marketplace timing, premium, deductible progress, doctors and prescriptions. Official notices and agency determinations still control.

No separate fee for the consultation described here and no obligation to enroll. Review Caden’s broker methodology, licenses, and compensation disclosure.
